Shea's Tree

As some of you already know, we're planning on planting a "Shea Tree" up at Camp this August.  My vision is to have a bench under it, with a plaque engraved on it.  Some of his
cremains will be used as fertilizer and we'll have a short ceremony there to honor Shea.

My idea is for the plaque to read:       "Just relax."

But I know that you guys often have WAY better ideas.  So please chime in with YOUR
suggestions.  Bridget and Emmet will have the final "say"--for type of tree and the
inscription so please give it some thought and share them.

This past week was yet another example of the great family we are all maintaining.

As you all contributed in some meaningful way, I couldn't help think of that great phrase--

                                       "Work is love made visible."

Thinking of you all and hating that we moved,

  1. Love it all! As for a tree suggestion, I have no idea. I really like the inscription though. Please let us know if Dan and I can contribute to the cost. I wouldn't want it to be a burden on only one family.

  2. Agreed on all fronts...donations should certainly be accepted....jar at camp or something, so people can give what they feel comfortable with...and then we all feel a part of it too. Flowering spring tree...just a thought. Great idea mama....as always.
